The 2018-2019 season has definitely been disappointing for the lakers even with LeBron James in their squad. The team is now 11th in the western conference standing with 35 losses and 30 wins only and an embarrassing 5 losses in row which makes their chances of getting a playoff spot really low, less than 0.1 percent chance according to ESPN to be exact.
The team suffers from the same problems all the season, injuries(Ball missed his 17th straight game, Ingram suffers from a shoulder soreness), mediocre shooting and an absence in backing talented players around James. The James-led team became an easy prey to everyone capable of guarding the king .

You may wonder what will happen now ? Well, it would be an uphill battle to convince LeBron to sit for the rest of the games with 18 games to go which is probably for the best right now. However, James told ESPN “Unless I’m hurt, I’m not sitting games.”
The 2018-2019 isn’t yet mathematically over for the Lakers however it is painful to see how awful it turned out especially after a lot of optimism from the fans and not to mention that the last time James hasn’t made it to the playoffs he was 20 years old.
